“Paradise Inside” is a series curated during the 2020 covid-19 pandemic.
What started off as an exploration of digital creativity, became a breath of fresh air during lockdown. This then became a a project which enabled us to connect with models/influencers through FaceTime. “Paradise Inside” captures one in their own realm in the comfort of their home with interviews that further encourage a space of conversation of evaluation and hope.

“I have gotten better at listening to my body, to protect my body. My body was giving me signs that I was trying to do too much, and that in fact it doesn’t matter what I think I’m doing.”
– Lauren Lewis.

What have you learnt about yourself during this period?
I have gotten better at listening to my body, to protect my body. My body was giving me signs that I was trying to do too much, and that in fact it doesn’t matter what I think I’m doing. It will not work if my body is not resting. I learned how to take breaks without feeling guilty, and how nature makes me feel so good.

What would you say you’re grateful for right now?
I am grateful for my home, my family, my friends, my boyfriend and my job. I wouldn’t say that I took those for granted, but being in quarantine made me realise how lucky I am to have all of these.

How has your relationship with beauty and wellness changed, if it has, since quarantine has began?
I have been experimenting a lot with hairstyles. Not going anywhere, means less pressure for it to look good. I have my little body self care routines that I do every week, and take 2 hours to do a full routine with undivided attention.

Once quarantine is over, what is the one thing you’d like to do that you feel you wouldn’t have usually done?
More undivided attention to everything I do. I was always trying to do a million things at the same time. Take my time to eat for example. And not try to rush important things as such.
